an Event or Tour at the GM Heritage Center
One of the true purposes of the General Motors Heritage Center is to share the history and accomplishments of General Motors, and to inspire ideas for the future.
For this reason, the 60,000 square foot exhibition area of the facility has been specifically designed to efficiently accommodate business meetings, training sessions and corporate events-large or small—formal or informal. Non-profit fundraising events, black-tie receptions, employee recognition events, even corporate holiday parties are just some of the functions that are hosted at the GM Heritage Center.
Not open to the public, access to the Heritage Center is limited to GM internal sources and external organizations seeking a unique, exclusive venue…a facility displaying nearly 200 priceless vehicles and artifacts that was also designed to create the ideal setting for a variety of events.
The stage and presentation area can comfortably seat up to 400 guests, and the venue’s maximum for a seated event is 550. An adjacent conference room for smaller, more private functions for up to 14, can be elegantly presented.
Equipped with data and graphics systems for audio/visual presentations, the Heritage Center also features computer-controlled programmable lighting that can create a variety of dramatic moods and ambiance. A large screen (9x12 Feet) projection screen and projector, wireless microphones (lavaliere and handheld) and custom lighting are available for presentation needs. A dedicated electrical supply provides enough power for virtually any special staging needs, including large bands and stage productions.
Our preferred vendors serve as resources to fulfill custom event needs. A list of preferred caterers, audio/visual resources, security, and valet services provide users of the Heritage Center with a full complement, yet complete variety, of services. Special requirements, such as docents or display set ups, even out-door car shows for enthusiast groups, can be arranged.
Group ToursGroup tours are available to groups, clubs, or staffs, and require a 30-person minimum. A fee of $10 per person is charged for tours scheduled Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
