Detroit Tigers third baseman and American League MVP Miguel Cabrera
honked the horn of A 1904 Oldsmobile Pie Wagon at the GM Heritage
Center Thursday, January 24, 2013. The American League Champion
Tigers, including Cabrera, met with military families during an
invitation-only stop on the team's annual Winter Caravan hosted
by Metro Detroit Chevrolet Dealers. The Tigers' caravan then
went the GM Renaissance Center for a public event Friday afternoon.

Air Force Master Sergeant Mike Smith (left), of Flint, shook hands
with Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers, while Air Force Chief
Master Sergeant Laura Lindsey, of Detroit, met Paws, the Detroit
Tigers' mascot. Both were part of a contingent of US military
personnel invited to the Caravan event by the Metro Detroit

The military personnel and guests had the opportunity to take
photographs with the Tiger players and to win favorite Tiger
fan items raffled by the Tigers organization. They enjoyed
light refreshments, and a self-browsing tour of the collection.
