To any motor sport enthusiast, June 17 was like a royal coronation. That night, the Motorsports Hall of Fame inducted seven new members! Ricky Carmichael, Walker Evans, Warren Johnson, Tommy Kendall, Mark Martin, and the late Duke Nalon and Lloyd Ruby made up the inductees’ Class of 2015, each representing some aspect of speed, success and technology. The audience included several past Heroes of Horsepower, as well as a few other VIPs. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and legendary Linda Vaughn, “Miss Hurst Shifter,” were among those on hand to celebrate with the Hall of Fame guests.
For the Heritage Center, it was a privilege to host the motorsports royalty! The event was sponsored by GM Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. Thank you to Mark Hicks and Brendan Watson for their photographic talents!
